How To Craft Adwords Ads That Rock
Never dismiss the power of your PPC ad copy because it should be obvious that it’s hugely important. You could say that it is the cornerstone of your entire PPC campaigns. Let’s move forward into discussion of a few ad copy tips that will improve your response rates if you learn them well.
When you’re writing ad copy, you should know how to get to the point instead of beating around the bush. There is not enough space to mess around, and that is why you must get to the point quickly and clearly. You only have 35 characters in the main ad space, and only 25 for the title; and Google considers a space as a character. Never mince any words with your PPC ads; no wasted words; all words must count. Who knows how much time you really have, but we’re betting it’s about 2, maybe 3 seconds tops for your ad to work it’s magic. If you think that’s bad, just imagine being anywhere but on page one. Now that’s depressing. A lot of this has much to do with filtering out people who are not interested; so one approach is to put your price right there in your ad. Get it? This can be actually a good thing to test because you will be potentially not only increasing your CTR, but people who do click through may be open to your price point. You do not really want to have people clicking through if the price is too high.
When writing the copy, make sure that you remove any common words such as “in, an, it, on”; since they will take up a lot of space. There is just no getting around it that all letters and words really count a lot with PPC ads. If you have words that are not important then your ad is automatically at a disadvantage.
Asking the reader a very pointed question can have incredible results if you ask the right question and in the right way. Have you ever asked anyone a question because you wanted to make a point, or irritate them, or make them more curious? Of course you have. You want to nail them right between the eyes with your question; so get to the point, pronto. If you commit yourself and decide to learn how to succeed with Adwords, then that is a goal you can achieve. Every PPC campaign that you launch will go through both profit and loss. But when you apply tips like we discussed in this article, you increase your chances of success. Since ad copy is the back bone of any AdWords campaign, you should focus on it as much as possible.
